Prix de la Photographie 2024
The photography prize "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" is awarded every two years.
Clervaux - Cité de l'image, in collaboration with the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg (CAL), has launched the second edition of the "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image".
After the success of the first edition, the organisers and their partner, the Centre national de l'audiovisuel (CNA), are pleased to continue this joint project to promote the art of photography in Luxembourg.
The "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" aims to honour the work of the photographer and one of his most recent contemporary photographic works. The "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" rewards photographs that meet the requirements of artistic quality, research, innovation and originality.
The jury prize is worth 10,000 euros and the public prize 2,500 euros. The "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" is normally awarded every two years.
The 14 finalistes
The jury of the 'Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image' has made its choice and we are delighted to announce the names of the 14 talented artists selected from a total of 106 applications for this year's prize and accompanying exhibition.
The selected artists caught the jury's attention with their recent contemporary photographic work, reflecting a wide range of style, research, innovation and originality.
The 14 finalists are Marie Capesius, Cristina Dias de Magalhaes, Krystyna Dul, Willi Filz, Nazanin Hafez, Filip Markiewicz, Pierre Metzinger, Lukas Ratius, Margit Schäfer, Olivier Schillen, Neckel Scholtus, Giulia Thinnes, Jeannine Unsen and Mohammed Zanboa.
