Porte-Mémoire, 2023
Clothes that tell our stories Slipped on, paraded, mended
Time passes and the stitches fade The body settles down
Holes in our memories become embedded in the fabric of our history
Like moths eating
The most precious thing in our lives
Our memory
Made of flesh and bone
I am also everything that surrounds me What I wear
This form
That forms the person Like a coat
Telling a second skin
Exposing myself
Who am I actually?
When I am not what I am wearing
