Description of the artwork
"Dirigat der Stille": Due to the pandemic, choral singing was not possible throughout 2021. Viola Kramer's composition and performance was created against this backdrop, as was my photo collage of the choir members and the video. Musical phrases, words and rhythms were recorded on mobile phones for the performance. These takes were used as a loop during the performance via mobile phone and Bluetooth loudspeaker - conducted by Viola Kramer.
