The aim of the "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" is to reward the work of the photographer and one of his or her recent contemporary photographic works. The "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image" focuses on photography that meets the requirements of artistic quality, research, innovation and originality.
For this first edition of the "Prix de la Photographie - Clervaux Cité de l'image", photographers were free to choose the theme of their work. The aim was to encourage creativity and the creation of new works.
The jury responsible for selecting the finalists was chaired by Thomas Seelig, director of the photographic collection at the Folkwang Museum in Essen since 2018. From forty-eight entries, the jury selected thirteen finalists who have had the honour of exhibiting their work at the Pavillon du Hall Polyvalent in Clervaux from October 5 to 23, 2022.
