Description of the artwork
The series "Home" consists of five photographs that I have taken over the last three years in my hometown of Oetrange, while visiting my parents from my adopted homes abroad. The different seasons, depicted in dim light, reflect both the passage of time - the ageing of my parents and their increasing frailty - and my own mixed feelings about these regular visits to Luxembourg: the tension between the security of family, the desire to take care of my parents, and at the same time the increasing need to withdraw each time.
